Circle T's Golden Years

The Old Red Barn

The very first bunch of grapes from our very first harvest. Yes, it was very early in the morning. Did I say "very" enough?
Winter into Spring
Another year begins

Lots of snow this year.
Always something to worry about.
Snow's gone--back to work!
Look closely and sap can be seen.
Cryin' time is over.
Looks like springtime to me!
Getting down to business.
Are those grapes I see?
April showers did indeed bring May flowers.
Get ripe!
Summer
The game's getting serious.

Ominous.
A critical stage begins.
This vine is on the right track.
You thought pruning was just done in winter?
Balloons?
Time to give the vineyard a name.

Marvilla hard at work.
Looks good, doesn't it?
Testing.....Testing.....

36 berries, two from each row.
Take that!
This suction tube gathers a small sample from the container.
Loaded up and ready to tell its tale.
Let's pick some grapes!

Well trained, isn't he?
Gig gets her feet wet.
One down, many more to go.
Here's the first load about to go to the winery.
Friday's second load leaves Circle T.
Finishing up on Saturday morning.
So what do you do with two tons of grapes?
In our case, you take them to Cowie Wine Cellars.

An old railroad scale goes to work.
Grapes, a crusher, and a 500-gallon tank. What's not to love?
Here they go!
The crusher takes a break.
All done!
